Campwide Briefing November 25-29 Happy
Thanksgiving to all of our Wonderful Campers and their Families! Our Native American Heritage Student Showcase will go online on Tuesday the 26th at www.campinternet.net/nativeheritage2002 for your students to view work of fellow students. Entries came from three states and reflect native studies and native student accomplishments both! If you have a project to add, email it to camp@campinternet.net. Fun Things To Do This WeekCamp Internet offers a ‘horn of plenty’ filled with great Thanksgiving learning resources open to ALL Campers at all grade levels at: http://www.rain.org/campinternet/american-history/thanksgiving/ in our new America’s Original Promise expedition. If you have not had a chance yet to show your students our Native Studies galleries – please show them the Rock Art Gallery at http://www.rain.org/campinternet/southwest/rockartgallery/ and the Rock Art Chat at http://chat.rain.org/cgi-bin/nph-campwidetrail. We also have begun building a beautiful Native Basket Gallery at http://www.rain.org/campinternet/basketgallery/ Best wishes to everyone for a Thanksgiving full of family togetherness and remembrances about the multi-cultural facets of the American tapestry. UPCOMING: December is our Archaeoastronomy Month so plan ahead to participate – from ancient astronomers to the latest technologies - you can even learn to use the Internet to send commands to a robotic telescope that take images of the night sky for you! If there is a night you would like to host a Family Night and invite parents in for telescope viewing, online astronomy sky chart learning, and posting online star/constellation sighting field reports, let us know. Tentative date is December 12th, but we are flexible to meet your needs. RSVP to camp@campinternet.net.
